In this workshop, you will be introduced to the art of Thai Massage through the lens of mindful presence and compassionate touch. We’ll cultivate a space where slowness, sensitivity, and embodiment become the ground for connection and transformation.
This is more than just a bodywork training — it's an invitation to slow down and feel, to listen deeply with your hands, and to be fully present with yourself and others.
Through guided practice and shared exploration, you will learn to:
👐 Touch with presence – developing fullness of touch, grounding your awareness into your hands and your whole body.
🪷 Create a safe and nurturing space – through nesting principles that allow the receiver to soften and let go.
🌬 Work with the breath – learning to synchronize with the receiver’s natural rhythm, offering support through each inhalation and exhalation.
🌀 Deepen layer by layer – developing sensitivity to fascia, tissues, and subtle shifts, allowing your touch to move beyond technique into connection.
🤲 Apply basic Thai Massage techniques – pressure, stretches, rhythmic rocking, and mobilizations to release tension and awaken vital energy.
🧘♂️ Support postural and energetic alignment – through mindful assisted stretches and intuitive movements rooted in traditional Thai medicine and movement meditation.
🧘 Meditation practice to ground and center yourself before giving.
🌟 Connecting to your Hara or Tan Tien – the energetic core from which presence and intention arise.
🌞 Somatic movements and joint mobilization to awaken your own body and prepare for giving.
🖐️ Listening with your hands – cultivating intuitive and receptive touch.
🌊 Principles of therapeutic touch – softness and strength, flow, gravity, and biomechanics.
💫 Elements of Thai wisdom – integrating Metta (loving-kindness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (joy), and Upekkha (equanimity) into your practice.
🛋 A full-body floor sequence including feet, legs, hips, abdomen, arms, torso, neck, and face.
🕊 Releases physical and emotional tension.
🌿 Regulates the nervous system and supports deep rest.
🤸 Enhances joint mobility and energetic flow.
